From autumn 2024 until summer 2025 I assisted, as a freelance artist, in the facilitation of a number of community printmaking programmes for Peacock Visual Arts.

From September- November 2024 we provided a series of free workshops for adults and families, giving people the opportunity to try a range of printmaking techniques including monoprinting, mono screenprinting, lego printing, gelli printing and paper making. The sessions allowed adults and children to get a taste of experimenting with printmaking, outside the workshop environment, allowing space for play and connection with others, demystifying complex processes in a fun and accessible way.

The second half of this project, running from April-June 2025 included a further round of family workshops, hosted on Saturdays in the Print Room, a pop-up space on Union Street, Aberdeen. These sessions, supported by artist Abigail Beeley, explored more printmaking techniques such as collagraph printing, kitchen lithography, plant printing, and zine making. Abigail and myself also facilitated a weekly art session at Cummings Park Community Centre in Northfield, Aberdeen, introducing families to a range of art making and printmaking techniques in a relaxed setting.
