For many years I worked under the name ‘Corvid Eyes’, initially adopting this moniker as way to describe my magpie method of working. I created pieces by collecting imagery and ephemera to suit my ideas, piecing it together into new narratives of joy, sorrow and the absurd.

I came to working with collage after graduating from art school when I felt burnt out and uninspired. I found comfort in constructing my paper worlds and slowly, over many years, gained the confidence to use my own drawings and photographs to create my works. These pieces show the slow evolution of my thinking around how I could make my art while still feeling it was ‘authentic’ to me.
